Beneath every wrinkle lies a layer of beautiful, new, smooth and supple skin

Wrinkles are creases, folds or ridges in the skin. Of all the visible signs of aging wrinkles can be that which makes us the most self-conscious.
Wrinkles are a result of the natural process of aging, but they can be most prominent on sun-exposed skin, such as the face, neck, hands and forearms.
Although we inherit genetic characteristic from our parents that partially determine our skin structure and texture. Sun exposure is the biggest factor contributing to premature wrinkles. Environmental exposure, such as heat, wind and dust, as well as stress, improper nutrition, poor health, and lack of proper skin care also play a role in the development of wrinkles.

We are proud to offer this service at both our downtown Toronto and North York locations and are happy to service customers from the Mississauga area.

Dynamic Wrinkles
Wrinkles can be caused by the repetition of facial expressions. Expression lines, sometimes referred to as smile lines, scowl lines, or crow’s feet are wrinkles or depressions in the skin that develop from muscles repetitively moving in the same direction, repeatedly twisting and bending the skin. People who have very expressive faces definitely develop deeper and more wrinkles than those who have less expressive faces.

Static Wrinkles
Static wrinkles are the wrinkles and creases that are not affected by facial expressions they are present even when your face is neutral and at rest.
Static wrinkles begin to show because essential components in the skin such as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which provide the skin with structure and volume, decrease with aging. Neglected dynamic wrinkles left on their own eventually become static wrinkles.
The content of dermal collagen, the most important component, decreases by 1% per year after the age of 20. The collagen fibres also become thicker and more brittle with age, due to an increase in the cross linkage.
Additionally, the fat pad below the epidermis begins to disappear with age, eliminating some of the support. Gravity is another intrinsic aging factor gravity is a force that constantly pulls down on our bodies. It pulls down on the skin and causes some eventual sagging or elastosis, which is scientific term for lack of skin elasticity.

At NewDermaMed we provide only the most advanced and proven anti-aging skincare and technologies. We carry and offer an array of Laser and non-Laser treatments to address each individual and accurately target each condition we aim to improve.

Laser Genesis works to gently heat the dermis below the superficial layers of the skin, improving circulation, minimizing redness and stimulating new collagen. Our Laser Genesis procedure is a comfortable, non-invasive Laser treatment that protects the epidermal layer as it works to improve and strengthen the skin’s health and imparts an overall glow

We offer Pearl Fractional for a deeper fractionated option. It slowly penetrates in tiny micro columns to safely remove damaged tissue and stimulate new skin growth to replace it. The result is smoother, brighter, volumized skin, minimizing fine lines, sun damage and wrinkles delivering a healthier more youthful complexion.

Our injectable fillers from Juvederm are made with the highest grade of Hyaluronic Acid. As an already naturally occurring component of the dermis Hyaluronic Acid is a perfectly biocompatible formulation, which will integrate immediately and naturally for seamlessly beautiful results. Juvederm provides a solution for each and every volumizing and contouring necessity. Juvederm is available in very distinct formulations; Ultra, Ultra Plus, Volbella, Voluma and Volift. Each formula can be specifically applied to which area it is best suited, be it finer lines surrounding the eyes and mouth area to deeper glabellar and naso-labial folds and furrows.

Botox is another great injectable option for treating both static and dynamic wrinkles, while also preventing new ones from developing, giving the face a more rested and relaxed look. Botox injections are sometimes combined with Anteis and other injectable cosmetic fillers to achieve desired results.
